Accident Shuts Down Eastbound
Motorists on eastbound Interstate 10 going into Louisiana Thursday were delayed for close to seven hours because of a wreck in Vinton, Louisiana. Multiple crashes one of which involved package delivery trucks closed all the eastbound lanes of the interstate around 5:45 AM. The crashes were about three to four miles into Louisiana from the state line with Texas and the Sabine River. Traffic backed up several miles into Orange County on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10. After a game winning home run last week Incarnate Word catcher Kyle Bergeron kept the hot bat going Wednesday against the Aggies in College Station. Bergeron went 3-4 with a grand slam, finishing a triple away from the cycle. The sophomore from Bridge City leads the IW Cardinals in just about every offensive category.
