The Orangefield Junior High boys track teams competed at the 2018 district track meet on Tuesday evening. The 7th grade finished a great season, taking home 2nd place overall. Interstate Service Road Bridges Discussed
Orange County will be asking the Texas Department of Transportation to address the service road bridges of Interstate 10 over Adams Bayou. The Commissioners Court Tuesday approved a resolution proposed by Commissioner Johnny Trahan to raise the bridges. Citizens contacted the commissioner about the frequent flooding at the service road bridges because of their low elevation and the piling supports under the bridges. BASS Urges Louisiana To Restore Angler Access
B.A.S.S., the world’s largest fishing organization, has endorsed proposed legislation that would reopen navigable waters in Louisiana to boaters and anglers. The bill, HB 391, introduced on March 1 by State Rep. Kevin Pearson (R.) of Slidell, would restrict the ability of private landowners to prohibit boater access to navigable waters flowing over or through their lands.
