Schools, crawfish and a tavern were the cleanest food service businesses during the recent Orange County health inspections. Inspector James Scales handed out six perfect scores with four going to schools. The worst score was a 79 for the Petromart at 12099 FM 1442. The store was formerly Crawdad's. During his April 10 visit, Scales reported the "restrooms need to be cleaned and sanitized immediately." He said he found a vehicle tire in the store room and mold on the drink dispensers and in the ice machine. Gwendolyn Burrows, 85, died in Houston, Texas on April 13, 2018 after a long illness. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Orange, TX, on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at 11 am. Gwen was born on September 19, 1932 in Henderson, Texas to James Clifford and Annie Laura (Muckleroy) Burrows. The family moved to Orange, Texas when she was a child. BC Council Discusses Citizen Input
The City Council in Bridge City discussed the procedure for allowing citizens to have items put on the council’s agenda during a workshop Tuesday. New procedures for getting items on the agenda will be prepared for approval by the council, hopefully, before the next meeting.
