Tuesday Is Last Day To Early Vote
Tuesday is the last day of early voting for the Port of Orange board along with city councils and school boards. Election Day is Saturday. The City of West Orange has a special city charter change election, but canceled the council election because of no contested races. All early voting sites, except West Orange City Hall, will have extended voting hours on Tuesday. Orange Police Reports
Orange police had a 911 call early Sunday morning to the Oakwood Village apartments after a man kicked in a door to an apartment and hit another man in the head with a gun. The patrol officer reported the 24-year-old victim had blood on his face and had wrapped a shirt around his head. The call to the complex at 1521 North 37th Street came about 1 a.m. A 21-year-old woman was with him. Medics from the Orange Fire Department and Acadian Ambulance Service treated the man, but did not take him to a hospital. Lutcher Stark Foundation congratulate the winners of the 2018 County Finals of the 114th Miriam Lutcher Stark Contest in Reading and Declamation. Bobby Joe Brewer, 81, of Orange, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday April 28, 2018. He was born in Orange, Texas, on September 4, 1936, to John D. Brewer and Jimmie L. (Winfree) Brewer. Bobby was the full time unit administrator and honorably served his country as a Command Sergeant Major in the Texas Army National Guard for 41 years.
