On May 12, a black male entered the Dollar General at 5725 16th Street and committed an aggravated robbery. If you have any information of can identify the suspect, please contact the Orange Police Department Detective Division at 409-883-1095. He was described as a tall black male, wearing an orange hoodie, white pants and shoes, with a white netting covering his face. He was also brandishing a small black pistol. Accident Monday Morning On FM 1132
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a multiple vehicle crash Monday morning in Orange County. Sergeant Stephanie Davis with the D P S reports at approximately 11:45 this morning a 2004 Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling southbound on FM 105 and the driver began to stop for a traffic light at FM 1132. A 1997 Freightliner truck was following the pickup truck and rear-ended it. Saturday the LCM baseball team scored a dramatic Game Two win over Huffman scoring 3 runs in the 7th for the 4-3 win. But the luck for the Bears ran out in Game 3 with a 7-1 loss. On May 12 at 9:36 pm, officers with the Orange Police Department, where dispatched to 5725 N 16th St. (Dollar General) in reference to a robbery in progress. As officers were arriving, the suspect fled out a rear exit, located on the North side of the building. After an extensive search, the suspect was not located. Orange Building Permits
The city of Orange had the most valuable construction project filed in April with the new water plant valued at $1.9 million. The plant is being built at 6524 Richard Street east of Highway 62 with Allco as the contractor. Building permits issued for the month show the city continues to rebuild and repair months after Tropical Storm Harvey. The city council has waived building permit fees to fix Harvey damage. The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears were riding a 19-game winning streak at home Friday night. The visiting Huffman Hargrave Falcons paid no attention to that and won Game 1 of their best of three series with LC-M 4-2 at Don Gibbens Field.
