Orange police had to pull a man from under bushes on Bob Hall Road early Wednesday morning after he tried to run away from a traffic stop. A patrol officer said the man drove an SUV off 16th Street across a grassy area and then jumped out of the vehicle, which then traveled into a ditch. The officer reported he saw a Chevrolet Suburban traveling without lights on 16th Street shortly before midnight. The officer turned on his emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop. Orange Council Gives Approval
The Orange City Council Tuesday gave the final approval for the land along Interstate 10 between 15th and 16th Streets to become a mixed use zoning district. City officials previously said the zone change from commercial special will attract developers to the land, which is around where the old Cody's Restaurant once stood. The council also approved adding $15,400 to the budget to install a 27-inch sewer line to the same land. The addition to the sewer budget is for more engineering from Schaumburg and Polk. One thing about the Bassmaster Elite fishermen, it's hard for them to hide. There are a few times they may be able to sneak around but part of their job, even when they're just practicing, is to promote the companies that sponsor them.
