Orange Radio Club Holds Field Day
The Orange Amateur Radio Club took part in the annual Field Day for amateur radio enthusiasts nationwide on Saturday and Sunday. HAM Radio clubs across the country attempt to make as many contacts with other clubs as possible during the 24-hour event which starts at 1:00 PM on Saturday and concludes on Sunday afternoon. The American Red Cross building in Orange on Interstate 10 served as the base for the Orange Amateur Radio Club to conduct its field day. Suspicious Package in Orange Police Reports
An employee at Mailbox and More on Green Avenue notified Orange police about a suspicious box and officers found a controlled substance inside. Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the items were being sent from Orange to other places in the U.S. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, but Enmon said the man sending the box has been questioned. According to the police report, officers went to the store about 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The man had come into the store earlier in the day and wanted a small box to ship something.
