Police Looking For Kleptosaurus Rex (Video)
A person wearing a dinosaur head broke into the Palais Royal store in Northway Shopping Center and stole a few items. Orange Detective Captain Robert Enmon said he has seen a lot of face coverings during his career, but never a dinosaur head. Detectives have dubbed the crook "Kleptosaurus Rex." The burglar broke into the door of a vacant shop space next to Palais Royal and then kicked in the sheetrock wall to get inside the store, Enmon said. WOCCISD Bus Aide Orelia Wallace was recognized as a Mustang Hero in front of the Board of Trustees for her outstanding service on May 25, 2018 when she used CPR to save the life of child. Drainage Problem Workshops Are June 28
The Commissioners Court is seeking input from multiple sources to deal with and improve the drainage in Orange County. The Court has scheduled two workshops on Thursday at different times to allow as much participation as possible to discuss the drainage issue in the county. County Judge Dean Crooks informed that representatives from all the municipalities, the drainage district, Parks and Wildlife, TxDOT, the Corps of Engineers, emergency management, and the county are expected to attend at least one of the two workshops. Board Approves Grant For Restaurant
The construction of a restaurant along the downtown Orange boardwalk is ready to begin after the city council and board of the economic development corporation formally approved a grant and lease. City Economic Development Director Jay Trahan said the restaurant may be open as early as spring 2019 with construction starting in August or September. Jake LeMoine will build The Boardwalk Grille. At approximately 4:45am Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to an auto-pedestrian crash on Highway 87, near SH 62, in Orange County. Initial reports indicate that a 2001 Dodge pickup truck was traveling northbound, in the right traffic lane, on Highway 87. A pedestrian was walking in the same traffic lane and was struck by the Dodge.
