Priscilla Jane Richard, age 77, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. A private memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date. Priscilla was born on Monday, August 5, 1940, in Kaplan, Louisiana to parents, Hazel (Stelly) and Joseph Trahan. She had been a longtime resident of Orange, Texas after moving from Lafayette, Louisiana many years ago. Man Dies Trimming Trees
Saturday, June 30 at 12:23 PM, Officers of the Orange Police Department, the Orange Fire Department, and Acadian Ambulance were dispatched to 508 Hydrangea in reference to a male who had been electrocuted while trimming tree limbs. Upon Officers arrival at 12:28 PM, a male was discovered hanging from a tree where he had been electrocuted after accidentally making contact with a power line. Entergy was called to the scene to cut the power off and the victim was retrieved by the City of Orange Fire Department with the use of an Entergy utility vehicle with a bucket extension. Patty and David Mouton are back in their Harvey-flooded house now. But Friday morning, they are facing another disaster, this one caused by fire. Their retirement house in Forbes Park, Colorado, is believed to have been destroyed by wildfire overnight. "This is an absolute nightmare," Patty said.
