On Wednesday, May 09, 2018, at 7:47 AM the Vidor Police Department assisted Orange County ESD #1 with an overturned 18-wheeler tanker truck at he intersection of Sargent and Sarver Streets in Vidor. The 18-wheeler had re-routed itself to avoid the back-up on IH-10 due to an earlier accident WB at the 857 MM. The tanker truck attempted to make a right turn onto Sarver when the tanker slid into the ditch causing the 18-wheeler to overturn. The content of the tanker was non-hazardous and there was no penetration of the tanker. No one was injured.
