The District 18-4A Track Meet began Monday in Bridge City with field events, the 3200 and the running prelims. The only field event that will be Wednesday with the running finals will be the boys and girls discus. The morning started off cloudy after an overnight rain, but the sun and the heat were in full display by 10:30am. The top four in each event will advance to the Area Meet.
As for the team title after Day One it’s as close as expected in the girls division where Bridge City leads LCM 65 to 63, followed by Lumberton 22, Jasper 18, Vidor 13, Silsbee 4 and WOS 1.
Lumberton is way ahead for the boys team title with 68 points, followed by Vidor 31, WOS 28, LCM 23, Jasper 19, BC 12, and Silsbee 5. KOGT.com will have more pics from the meet coming soon.
