Thursday Orange Police released information on a crash early Sunday morning in which a 13-year-old driver fleeing from police hit a parked pickup truck and a house on Norwood Drive. The house ended up with a hole in a wall.
Police reported the crash was at 1:45 a.m. Sunday at 2202 Norwood at the corner with 10th Street. A 13-year-old boy was driving a 2012 Dodge Journey with a 14-year-old boy in the passenger seat. Neither was injured.
The Dodge was traveling north on 10th Street and the driver lost control at the intersection with Norwood. The car left the roadway and hit a parked Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck and the house.
The juvenile driver was given a citation for failure to control speed.

A 59-year-old man was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont Wednesday evening. He told Orange police he was walking in the 1600 block of 14th Street when a man came out and hit him on the left side of the face with an object.
The man notified police of the attack at 6:18 p.m. when he was in the 400 block of Park Avenue. Police noted that he was intoxicated.

A juvenile boy and his mother told Orange police Wednesday evening that a group of juvenile boys attacked him on Dalhia Street in the Roselawn subdivision.
Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the boy was hit with a fist, but did not need medical treatment. He said the assault seems to be related to a carry-over school. The victim knew all the attackers.
Tuesday evening, a man riding a bicycle in the same area was robbed by six males, including one that had a pistol and hit him with the handgun. The victim did not know any of the males in the attack.
