Heels steal soles
The Horseman Store’s ‘shoe mobile’ is missing soles. Orange Police Officer M.T. Roush reported that 16 pairs of work boots worth $2,145 were stolen sometime between Friday and Saturday. Store personnel called police Tuesday afternoon to report the theft. Officer Roush said the shoe mobile is a box trailer that was modified into a sales office and was parked behind the main store off Interstate 10 East. The trailer had been forced open. The work boots were various brands and sizes.
Man wants to go to jail, brings crack to police
Orange police made a cocaine bust Monday afternoon without leaving the station. Officer M.T. Roush reported a man came into the lobby of the police department and said he wanted to go to jail because he needed help with a drug problem. The man turned over a rock of crack cocaine wrapped in a piece of paper towel. The 62-year-old man was arrested and taken to the Orange County Jail.
