Zach Youngblood, the first scholarship soccer player from Bridge City, will begin play next week as a goal keeper with his new team, the Gorlocks of Webster Univeristy in St. Louis. The Webster University men’s soccer team was tied for second in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference coaches’ preseason poll for 2015. The Gorloks, who have won or shared three straight SLIAC regular season titles, received two first place votes and tied with Spalding University (KY) with 69 points overall. Webster has gone 22-2-2 in the SLIAC over the last three seasons, winning the title outright in 2012 and 2014, and tying for first in 2013. The Gorloks won the SLIAC Tournament Championship in 2012, advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
