Thursday night, the Orangefield Bobcats JV team hosted the Kirbyville Wildcats and won 36-12. Heston Puckett had and 18 yard TD run and a 31 yard TD run. Tyrone Waggoner had a great night at QB, with a 14 yard TD run, and then a fumble recovery on defense. Kadeon Evans had an 18 yard TD run in the 3rd quarter and Lane Rach had an 8 yard TD run in the 4th. The Bobcats had a couple of 2pt conversions, one was an 8 yard pass from Clayson Choate to Ethan Lozano, and a 3 yard run by Kaden Dubose and Chase Broussard. Defensive standouts were Jacob Harvey in the secondary, Aaron Gordon at linebacker, and Kale Berlinger on the D-line. They will travel to Woodville next Thursday at 5:00.
The JV BC Cardinals traveled into Houston to take on the North Forest JV Bulldogs. The Cards came away with a 12-0 win to start their season off 1-0. Preston Peterson scored the 1st touchdown with a 25 yard run. Ethan Morgan picked off a pass and set the offense up with an excellent return. Micah Pierce finished the night with a 10 yard touchdown run. Offensive standouts were Randy Abate, Colby Collins, Manuel Gomez, and Colton Cricchio. Defensive Standouts were Jackson Tims, Adam Snyder, Christian Young, Marqus Abrego, and Zach Green. Play next Thursday vs. WOS.
WOS and LCM freshmen tied 14-14. For WOS: Wilbert Ned 50 yard TD run, Hykiem Taylor 2 pt conversion reception; Wilbert Ned 73 yard Kickoff Return for TD.
