LCM’s Alyssa McKellar makes a big block Tuesday as the Lady Bears defeated West Orange-Stark 49-41.
The Lady Mustangs (0-2) hung around most of the game, including taking a one point lead late in the third, but the Lady Bears (2-0) made their free throws down the stretch for the 8 point win.
McKellar led LCM with 18 points, 7 boards and 3 blocks. Jacie Miller added 14 and 8 rebounds. Ariah O’Neal led WOS with a game high 23 points.
WOS will go to HF Friday and LCM will host BC.

OF lost to Hamshire- Fannett 35-31 to fall to 1-1 in district play. The Lady Bobcats (1-1) faltered at the line shooting less than 50 percent. The Longhorns are also 1-1. Emmi Lummus scored 13 and had 5 steals for OF. Jayme Deutsch added 7 and 6 rebounds.

BC Lady Cards fell to 0-2, losing to Silsbee 82-51. Rylee Oceguera was BC’s leading scorer with 18 points and Reyna Owens with 8 points.

The Vidor Lady Pirates lost to Central in 22-5A play

WOS dominated Legacy 94-64. Five Mustangs in double figures. Cory Skinner 19, KJ Miller 15, Terron Brown 16, Jalen Matthews 15 and B’Jan Arvie 14. Bretlin White added 10 assists.

LCM dominated Liberty 75-43. The Bears owned the first half with a 41-12 lead. Katon Brown led the way with 31 points and 11 rebounds. Braden Bridges scored 13, Jacoven Provost 10. LCM is now 14-10 and will open district at BC on Friday on KOGT.

Orangefield lost to Huffman 66-53. Caleb Kress had 15 and Peyton Lathrop with 14 for OF. Alex Catt added 10. Bobcats open district Friday hosting Silsbee.
