The Orangefield Lady Bobcats got a big district win Tuesday at home, beating the LCM Bears 37-33 in Overtime.
The game was tight throughout and at the end of regulation it appeared OF freshman Emmi Lummus would win the game as she hit one of two free throws to give OF a 32-31 lead with 2 seconds left. But she committed a foul with .8 seconds and sent LCM’s Maddie Frey to the line where she sank the first free throw to tie the game, but then missed the second one and the game went into OT.
Lummus and Hannah Lowe outscored the Bears 5-1 in the extra frame to get the 24-4A win.
Lowe lead all scorers with 14 and Lummus added 7 and Sabryn Crain 6 points.
Maddie Frey lead LCM with 9 and Grace Chen fouled out with 8.
