West Orange-Stark once again made a statement in the first half and then coasted to a 48-0 win over Hardin-Jefferson to win another district title.
WOS scored using offense and defense, and blocked a punt to jump out to a 41-0 lead at the half. The ‘Stangs would score on their opening drive of the second half as Jack Dallas threw his third touchdown and finished with 17 of 19 passing for 298 yards.
Justin Brown rushed for two TD’s and once again played stellar defense.
Taking a look at the numbers, they’re pretty staggering. Since losing to Foster on Sept. WOS (9-1) has won five straight, outscoring their opponents 217-9. In their four district wins they gave up only 3 points to Orangefield and pitched shutouts against Hamshire-Fannett, Liberty, and the Hawks. Friday’s shutout was the 98th in the schools history.
WOS has a bye next week and will await Houston Scarborough on the Thursday, Nov. 12.
