The 4A Division 2 State Championship game is Friday at noon from AT&T Stadium featuring the West Orange-Stark Mustangs (visitors) against the Mustangs of Sweetwater. Pregame on KOGT will begin at 11:45am
If you’re going to the game or listening to the play-by-play, here’s some interesting facts and figures.
AT&T Stadium, formerly Cowboys Stadium, is a city-owned stadium with a retractable roof in Arlington. Home of the Dallas Cowboys, it was completed on May 27, 2009 at a cost of $1.3 billion.
The stadium seats 80,000 for games and can hold up to 105,000 for other events, including standing room only.
The HDTV video board in the middle of the stadium runs from the 20 yd line to the 20 yd line, measuring 160 feet by 72 feet at a cost of $40 million. It would take some 4920 fifty-two inch flat screens to match it.
The first event in the stadium was not a Cowboys game. The first event was a George Strait concert featuring Reba, Blake Shelton and LeeAnn Womack.
KOGT will also replay the game Friday at 7pm and Saturday at 7am.
