Defensive standouts: Judge – interception, Brown and Deshawn Brunson.
8A: 34 – 2 win. Offensive standouts: Ke’zayvier Richards: 2 TD passes to Jadon Jones and Keishawn Budwine, Jartayvon Craven, Cameron Judge and Jayson Zeigler 1 rushing TD each, Zeigler two point conversion. Defensive standouts: Elijah Gales – 3 fumble recoveries and 1 safety, Jamall Warnell 2 fumble recoveries and Judge.
Stallions will travel to Hamshire-Fannett next Thursday for 3 games with kickoff at 5:00 pm.
TUESDAY-
Bridge City Middle School football played Huffman Tuesday night picking up three wins. The 8th grade Red team (2-0-1) defeated the Falcons 50-20. The Red team was led offensively by Dorian Pruitt (three touchdowns), Deegan King, Ethan Oceguera (two touchdowns), JT Fielder. Joey Murty also had a nice 40-yard reception. The defense was led by JT Fielder who had a fumble returned for a touchdown, Gavin Garrett added an interception. Davien Edwards and Trey Hebert also played well on defense.
The 7th grade Red team (2-1) defeated Huffman 14-0. Offensive leaders were the offensive line led by Corey Neil, Matt Livingston, Shaun Hallman, CJ Cane, Clayton Whatley, and Eduardo Rodriguez. Jaden Martinez had two touchdown runs and a two-point conversion. Noah Broussard also ran the ball well picking up key first downs. The defense was led by Landon Watts and has played shutout opponents for nine straight quarters.
The 8th grade White team (0-2) was defeated 18-0. Offensive leaders were Anthony Tran, Austin Pigott, and Cheyann Rahim. The defense was led by Christian Brones and Joseph Thibodeaux.
The 7th grade White team (1-1) defeated Huffman 14-0. Mario Martin had over a 100 yards on the ground and scored two touchdowns. Easton Gibbens added a two-point conversion. Braeden Pitre led the defense with an interception at the goal line. The white team defense had two big goal line stands to keep Huffman off the board.
The 7th and 8th-grade Red teams will both travel to Little Cypress next Tuesday 10/10, while the 7th and 8th-grade White teams will have the week off.
