Foul trouble and poor outside shooting doomed the LCM Bears Tuesday night in a 62-49 bi-district loss to Huffman. It was also the final game as the Bear coach for Darin Harley, who is moving to northeast Texas.
The Bears (13-21) had a 26-25 lead at the half, and they kept it close in the third, down 44-41. It was the fourth quarter when Huffman outscored the Bears 18-8 to win by 13. The Falcons were 8-13 from the free throw line in the fourth while LCM did not shoot from the stripe.
Keegan Sonnier was LCM’s leading scorer with 18 and sophomore Katon Brown added 15. For Huffman (23-10) Noah Pendergrass scored 22.
