Orangefield ISD will resume regular school hours beginning Monday, September 25, 2017. Students are assigned to different campuses and classrooms due to flood damage caused by Hurricane Harvey. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Our school buildings had over 100,000 sq. ft. of instructional space receive floodwater. The remediation process is being completed now. Our classrooms will be restored to operational conditions as quickly as possible. Until this occurs, we will be using Orangefield Junior High and Orangefield High School to house all students.
Instructional staff will return to work on Friday, September 22, 2017. Students will return on Monday, September 25, 2107.
Orangefield Junior High will house Pre-K through 6th grade.

Students in 7th & 8th grade should be dropped off and picked up at the new high school gymnasium.
The district will be providing free breakfast and lunch to all students. This is possible because of a waiver granted by the Federal School Lunch Program. This program will be available through September 30th unless an additional waiver is granted.
Some bus routes are not passable at this time. Debris from Hurricane Harvey has made it unsafe for our buses to travel these areas. Please go to the district website to see if there is an alternate drop-off and pick-up site for your student.
We look forward to welcoming all of our Bobcats back to school. Thank you to our wonderful community for supporting us during this challenging time.
