Special Olympics Texas Area Director Alicia Permenter and SOTX Athlete Kameron Lane visited with Lauren Jones from Representative Brian Babin’s office to leave some information about Special Olympics Texas events and programs offered in our area.
Kameron will be a senior at Bridge City High School. Kameron participates with Special Olympics Texas in Basketball, Aquatics, Bowling, Bocce, Track and Field, Meet in the Middle at his school and in the Unified Sports program. He has received numerous medals (Gold, Silver and Bronze) and has competed at the State Level. He is the son of Richard and Angie Lane and is also active in his church (St. Paul UMC) youth group and with Adaptive Sports for Kids.
Permenter is an LCM Alumni. She has been employed with Special Olympics Texas since May of this year. She has been a volunteer coach and sponsor of Special Olympics Texas programs for several years.
