BCI Jumping And Reading

Students at Bridge City Intermediate have had a great time participating in Jump Rope for Heart. They’ve learned lots of different ways to jump rope while learning the importance of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. We also raised money for the American Heart Association.  Our top money donated for Jump Rope for Heart was from Aidyn Mulhollan. He collected and donated $271 to the cause. BCI donated a total of $4,826.41.

Emma Sparks, a student a Bridge City Intermediate, was an honorary team captain for the Baylor vs LSU at the Shriners for Children College Classic at Minute Maid Park in Houston on Saturday. Emma is pictured with Bridge City High School graduate and Baylor Baseball player Matt Menard.

Bridge City Intermediate celebrated Read Across America Day with activities all  week long.  Students were engaged in different Seuss activities to promote reading throughout the week.  Some of the activities included pledging to read for an extended time each day as well as challenging themselves to have a “screen free” day, and opting to do other activities rather than watch TV or play video games.
