OF 8th 6 Central 6
The 8th grade team for the Bobcats found themselves in a hole early giving up a touchdown to the Central Canines on the opening drive of the game. Orangefield put a drive together right before the half, but could not punch in a score before time expired. The defense lead by Kent Michael and Kadeon Evans manage to shut out the Canines after their initial score, but the offense could only muster one second half touchdown. Late in the 4th Kade Grozier hooked up with Clayson Choate on a 75 yard bomb to even the score, but a penalty backed up the Bobcats on their conversion try and they could not take the lead and the game ended in a 6-6 tie.
The 7th grade football team lost a hard-fought game last night 20-0 The defense held strong most of the night, but unfortunately gave up a few big plays. Tyler Washington led the offense all night had a very productive game, while Mason Sampson was a defensive stand out tonight. The Bobcats will get back to work Wednesday afternoon and we will be ready to take on the Lumberton Raiders next Tuesday at their place.
