Timothy Floyd Hicks, 53, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on November 16, 2015, in Chattanooga, Tennessee following complications of brain surgery.
A Remembrance Gathering for Tim’s Texas family and friends will be Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 945 W. Round Bunch Road in Bridge City, Texas.
Born in Baytown, Texas on July 31, 1962, he was the son of Orval and Betty Hicks. Tim was a 1981 graduate of West Orange-Stark High School. Tim was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He played baseball for the Dream League for nine years; Tim was recognized as Player of the Year in 2010. Tim also loved to go to the AIM Center to help with documentation, take art, exercise, and socialize.
Tim excelled at reading, trivia, & games shows, with Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune being his favorites. He also like to work Mad Libs, listen to the radio, & keep up with friends and family on Facebook. He loved people, never forgot a name & or important dates like birthdays or anniversaries. Since 2005, he has lived with his sister, Virginia and her family in Chattanooga. Tim taught his sister & her family so much about the little things in life & they tried to share with him new experiences and expand his world.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Virginia Bennett and her husband Jeff, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; his nieces, Loren & Autumn Bennett of Chattanooga who Tim loved, adored, & formed a bond that will never be forgotten; and his sister, Melinda White and her husband Patrick.
