Newton County Sheriffs Report
Oct. 30, 2017
By Sheriff Billy Rowles
Hope everyone had a good week. Get all the feeders full because Saturday morning deer season starts.
Had a break in at the Dollar Store in Deweyville on Friday night. We are trying to get pictures from the video. Hopefully we will be able to solve this soon.
Sgt. Morgan is no longer working with us. He went to work for another agency almost doubling what we were paying.
We received a call from a lady who said she had a bear hanging around her camp. Anyone missing a bear? Let us know. Game Warden Spacek is looking into this.
Received a report of a large pile of pears on a county road. Lady said the pile was large enough to hide a body. We went and checked and No body.
Some of us will be shooting our rifles this week, making sure our scopes are own.
Please be careful where you are shooting.
Gotta Go. Plan ahead – It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark. Ya’’ll have a great week. If we can help, just holler. God Bless.
