Burglars hit A-1 Plumbing Co. on Border Street Friday night and stole a pick-up truck and tools worth a total of $36,000. The owner of the business called Orange police Saturday morning after discovering that the gated parking lot was unsecured. She noticed that a number of items, including the truck, were missing. Also Saturday morning, the manager of Novrozky’s restaurant, 501 16th Street, called police when she found that the side entry door glass had been shattered. Nothing was reported missing. Other calls to the Orange Police Department during the weekend included a broken car window in the 500 block of Hydrangea Street. A resident of the house was sitting in the living room about 11 p.m. Saturday and heard a loud bang from the driveway. When she looked outside, she saw a man running away. He got into a white, four-door passenger car and drove away. She went outside to find that the front passenger side window of a car was broken. Early Friday morning, TV was reported stolen from an apartment in the 600 block of Burton Avenue. Then about 2 a.m. Friday, a 65-inch TV was reported stolen from a house on Byron Road.
