On Monday, June 4, 2017 Vidor Police Officers were patrolling in the area of South Archie Street. The Officers were near Faith Assembly of God Church. Officers saw a suspicious female behind the building. The female, later identified as Sarah Elizabeth Cleveland, 19, had just broke into two vehicles and was in possession of stolen property. One of the owners of the vehicle was located and filed criminal charges on Cleveland. Cleveland was taken into custody for Burglary of a Vehicle. She was transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility and released to jail staff for booking. Cleveland was arraigned by Precinct Two Justice of the Peace – Judge Derry Dunn for Burglary of a Vehicle and bond set at $1,500.00.
On Monday, June 5, 2017 about 2:00a.m., Vidor Police Officers were patrolling the area of North Denver Street near Nolan’s Food Mart. The Officers saw a suspicious vehicle in the in the area. He saw a white male, later identified as John Paul Suddath, 34, breaking into a vehicle parked at the apartment complex. Suddath was confronted and taken into custody for Burglary of a Vehicle. The owner of the vehicle was located and filed criminal charges on Suddath. Suddath already had two of more convictions for Burglary of a Vehicle and it was enhanced to a Felony. Suddath was transported to the Orange County Correctional Facility without incident and released to jail staff for booking. He was arraigned by Precinct One Justice of the Peace – Judge Stanger Burglary of a Vehicle with a $5,000.00 bond.
