Money, various items and a gun were taken from unlocked vehicles in the Oak Creek Village and International neighborhoods early Monday morning. Orange police have gathered several home surveillance recordings and have pictures of two juvenile boys.
Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the thefts were done around 3 a.m. The vehicles were parked at houses on Oak Valley, Black Oak, Amsterdam and Zurich. Calls about the missing items began coming into the police department Monday afternoon.
One of the stolen items was a M&P Shield .40 caliber pistol with one, seven-round magazine. The gun was taken from a pickup truck on Black Oak.
Captain Enmon said investigators are working to identify the culprits. He said the video would not be released to the public because the thieves appear to be juveniles.
He encourages citizens who see suspicious people walking in neighborhoods, especially at night, to call police.
