The Honey Stop convenience store, 1012 West Park Avenue, was robbed about 11 p.m. Sunday by two men. Police report one had a black, semi-automatic pistol.
Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the two men were wearing black hoodies pulled over their heads. Their faces were covered with only their eyes showing. They were also wearing purple surgical gloves. They are described as black, with one about 5-feet-5 and the other 5-feet-3.
The same store was robbed by two men with handguns last year on June 12. The store did not call police after that robbery, which was reported by employees at a restaurant across the street.
In July last year, police went to a 9-1-1 call to the store after a woman took money from a cash box. She told police she lost money at the eight-liner machines at the store and wanted her money back. Eight-liner machines are similar to slot machines.
