City Manager Dr. Shawn Oubre said the city’s recovery contractor has picked up 154,000 cubic yards of debris. Of that amount, 20,000 cubic feet have reached the final landfill destination. He said 3,950 truckloads of debris have been picked up in the city.
The city is in the process of finishing the first round of debris pickup. Residents are asked to have all debris by the curb within the right-of-way by November 7. Oubre said after the second round, officials will determine whether a third round is needed.
