A pizza delivery man was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night at the James Zay Roberts apartments, 610 Burton Avenue. However, the delivery man refused to hand over his money.
Orange Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the delivery man dropped the pizza and left. He called police at 8:48 p.m. from the business, Papa John’s Pizza on MacArthur Drive. The pizza was gone when officers arrived at the apartments.
Enmon said the delivery man took the ordered pizza to an apartment, but no one answered. Two males, who could have been young teenagers, came up with a pistol and ordered him to give them his money. One male was described as black, about 5-feet-10 inches tall and about 185 pounds. He had short hair and no facial hair. He was wearing a blue-gray hoodie with a box-knit design.
The other robber was described as a black male about 6 feet tall and about 185 pounds. He was wearing a red and gray hoodie with a box-knit design.
Anyone with information about the robbery should contact the Orange Police Detective Division at 883-1095.
