Thursday State District Judge Dennis Powell agreed to a 15-year sentence for 24-year-old Jordan Chancelor Pitre for being the getaway driver to an armed robbery at Sun Loan Company on 16th Street.
Pitre pleaded guilty after agreeing to the 15 years in prison. He is the last of the four men involved in the August 24, 2015, robbery of Sun Loan.
In May, a jury in Judge Powell’s 163rd District Court found 24-year-old Mason Paul Butler guilty of aggravated robbery. The jury gave Butler a 30-year sentence after hearing testimony that he was the gunman.
In April, Judge Powell gave 21-year-old Joshua Tremain Shaw a 33-year sentence after he pleaded guilty.
18-year-old Raymond Charles Young was the first of the four to go to court. He pleaded guilty in exchange for 15 years in prison. Walker said he cooperated with police.
