Hannah and Curt Lucia of Bridge City are like many pet owners who believe their dog is not just a pet, but a part of the family. Monday afternoon, their family member, a lovable Labradoodle named Seamus, was shot and killed. Seamus was found by Hannah near the corner of the couples property on Gilmer which is near the BC City Hall. Neighbors reported hearing a shot between 4-4:30pm but so far the shooter has not been identified.
“He got out by going under the fence,” Hannah said. “But he was never a threat and most people around here knew where he belonged. I just don’t understand why someone would do this.” The Lucia’s are offering a reward if the information leads to the arrest of the person who shot Seamus. Contact the Bridge City Police if you have any information.
