SHERIFF’S REPORT
by Sheriff Billy Rowles
08/07/2017
We had a very busy week around here. Had my feelings hurt because I didn’t think our office could run without me. I was in training Monday and Tuesday in Dallas and all went well without me.
Last week was the week for mean women. Deputy Bluiett and Deputy Carter both had a bad time with hostile females. Carter’s was in Deweyville and Bluiett’s was up in the Newton area.
They both are still in jail. Tuff Gals!
We had five complaints this week concerning pit bull dogs. Please, if you have pit bulls, keep them under control. People have the right to protect their animals and children from aggressive dogs.
Dealing with a fired preacher. Seems he doesn’t want to give up his church. I advised the spokesperson of the church to contact an attorney and get a restraining order.
Several calls about drunk driving. Please don’t drink and drive. Not only a $10,000 worth of expenses if you get caught, you are putting lives in danger. Think about it. It’s not worth it.
Gotta Go. Thought for the week: Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom. Ya’ll have a great week. If we can help. Just Hollar. God Bless.
