NEWTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT
06/05/2017
Hope everyone had a great week. I’m ready for it to dry out. My dog has gotten web feet.
We received a 911 call where a 3 year old was missing. Seems the last time the child was seen had been over 2 hours. We started to notify all the volunteers when we got a call back saying they found the child. Seems like 2 hours is a long time before you call us. All well, it ended good.
We received a call about a pickup truck that was found in a very suspicious place. We went and checked it out and it was stolen from San Augustine, County. If you see something that does not look right, call us. Thanks to my friend Turtle for calling.
Getting calls about people stealing gravel from the Tx Dot. We have already filed charges on one man at Tx Dot’s request. If it’s no yours, let it alone.
Neighbors feuding with neighbors, family feuding with family and Ex’s feuding with ex’s. Had you rather be right or had you rather get along. Come on folks, help us out.
Anyone missing an Emu? Howard West knows where it was last seen. Be careful they can be mean.
Gotta Go. Thought for the week: A smile is an inexpensive way to improve our looks.
Ya’ll have a good week and if we can help, just holler. God bless.
