Newton County SHERIFF’S REPORT
by Sheriff Billy Rowles
11/27/2017
Wow, what a great Thanksgiving we had. Lot’s to eat, great family time and not so good hunting. Weather is and has been great.
We had several calls over the weekend about hunters shooting too close and toward residence. Please everyone be responsible hunters. Thanks to the school in Deweyville for having the Hunter Safety Class.
Received a call from a mother who stated her 3 month old child wasn’t breathing. Please remember the Boyd family in your prayers.
We are two officers short at this time. If we are late getting to you, please be patient. By the way if you know a police officer who needs a job, have him or her contact us.
We are getting into the Christmas season. We will be going to Christmas parties. Please remember drinking and driving will get you put in our Newton County Sheriff’s office Bed and Breakfast. Be smart, don’t drink and drive. We don’t feed good.
Gotta Go. Thought for the week. Subway is definitely the healthiest fast food available because they make you get out of your car. Ya’ll have a great week and if we can help.
Just holler. God Bless
