You should start seeing more purple, green and gold around town as the Mardi Gras season is near. The 14th Annual Krewe of Krewe’s Grande Parade is scheduled for February 18 at 5:30pm in downtown Orange. It’s fun to line the streets and enjoy all the music, beads and other celebrations, but it’s also fun to have a float in the parade.
Businesses, clubs, and organizations are invited to join in the parade that circles downtown Orange and ends with a live concert at the Orange River Front Pavilion. Applications can be found below and you can call the Greater Orange Area Chamber of Commerce at 883-3536 for more information.
The Munchkin Parade for Kids is returning and will be held at 1pm. Donnie Broussard and Louisiana Stars will also be performing at the pavilion during that time.
Following the parade at 7:00p.m. there will be a concert by Bernie Allan Band at the Orange River Front and Pavilion. Food and beverage vendors will be at the event(No dogs, No pets, No coolers). All parade applications are due by February 8, 2017.
