A 29-year-old man has been sentenced to serve a total of 50 years in state prison after pleading guilty to two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child. 260th District Judge Buddie Hahn sentenced Jeffrey Mulvaney to 25 years on each count with the sentences to be stacked, or served one after the other.
Relatives of the victims said the two girls were 7 years old. They were in the courtroom Thursday to give an impact statement after the plea.
One child was abused from December 1, 2011, to January 1, 2013. The other girl was abused from December 1, 2013, to December 1, 2014.
Assistant District Attorney Mike Marion prosecuted the case.
