A 62-year-old motorcyclist was injured Monday night when a car hit the cycle on MacArthur Drive. Orange police said James Wilhite of Orange was taken by Acadian Ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Police reported a Jeep Liberty was turning westbound from a private drive of a business in the 2800 block of MacArthur Drive about 9:15 p.m. Monday. The Jeep hit the motorcycle, which was traveling eastbound in the inside lane.
A 21-year-old woman from Orange, April LaFleur, was driving the Jeep. Police said she was given citations for failure to yield right of way and driving while license invalid.
