Justice of the Peace Hershel Stagner Jr. set a total of $30,000 bond Friday on a 21-year-old man arrested for drugs after Orange police searched a house.
Several firearms reported as stolen were also found in the house, though charges related to the guns have not been filed.
Rodney Dove has been charged with state jail felony possession of marijuana for having more than four ounces. He also faces a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance in connection with Ecstasy pills that were found at the house.
Sergeant Jason Laughlin with the Orange Police Department’s narcotics division obtained a search warrant Friday for a house in the 200 block of Farragut Street as part of “an ongoing narcotics investigation,” according to the affidavit of probable cause. During the search detectives found marijuana in several locations of the house. The weight was more than four ounces but less than five pounds. Anything less than four ounces is a misdemeanor.
