At approximately 12:00pm, Jason Michael Leutloff was arrested near the Econo Lodge on 11th Street by Beaumont Police Officers. At this time, Leutloff has been transported to the Orange County Jail facility. Leutloff will be booked into the jail on the two outstanding felony failure to stop and render aid arrest warrants that were issued earlier this week. A tipster contacted the Orange County Sheriff’s office and provided information as to Leutloff’s location in Beaumont.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is asking for the public’s help to locate a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that injured a 2-year-old child on Friday in Orange County. A felony failure to stop and render aid warrant has been issued for 35-year-old Jason Michael Leutloff of Vidor.
On April 15, 2016, at approximately 6:00p.m., a gray Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling on a street within the Denbow Mobile Home Park in Orange County. The 2-year-old child ran from a private driveway into the street and was struck by the vehicle. After striking the child, the driver of the Chevrolet fled the scene of the crash. Eyewitnesses were able to provide Troopers with a description of the vehicle and the vehicle’s Texas license plate number.

If you come in contact with suspect, immediately contact law enforcement authorities. Do not attempt to approach the suspect.
