A Galveston County grand jury has indicted four men from Orange for felony aggravated assault causing serious injuries in connection with an attack on a 19-year-old Orange County man at Crystal Beach during spring break in March.
The indictments were returned Thursday and a judge Friday set $20,000 bonds each for 20-year-old Deionte Thompson (top right), 19-year-old Morris Joseph Jr. (top left), 21-year-old Daletedricc Wolfford (bottom left), and 18-year-old Rufus Joseph.
They are accused of hitting and kicking Noah Frillou, who suffered severe injuries to his head and face.
Charges were originally filed days after the assault and the four surrendered to authorities and posted bond. Thompson plays football for the University of Alabama. He has said he was not involved in the attack and someone misidentified him.
The charges are a third degree felony and carry a punishment of two to 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of $10,000.
