A 62-year-old man from Orange was arrested for DWI Monday night after he crossed a road block on MacArthur Drive during the investigation of a double fatality.
Officer Patrick McDonald reported that two firefighters wearing reflective vests and holding flashlights were re-directing the traffic. A fire engine and two police patrol vehicles with flashing lights were set up to block traffic.
A pickup truck disregarded the firefighters and traveled between the parked emergency vehicles. Officer McDonald said the pickup was heading to the crime scene and the officers marking the scene.
Officer McDonald ordered the driver to stop and the truck halted. The officer said he could smell alcohol on the driver. Joseph Williams was arrested for DWI and taken to the Orange County Jail.
