The West Orange City Council made a logical choice Monday in awarding a contract for auditing services. Acting on the recommendation of a three-person committee the council awarded the contract to Curtis Craig who completed the city’s 2016 audit.
Mayor Roy McDonald said the city received three bids, but choosing Craig was the obvious selection. “He did a good job last time, and we expect the same thing in the future,” McDonald stated.
The contract covers not only the current fiscal year 2017, but also Fiscal Years 2018 and 2019. Craig in his bid indicated he would perform the audits for the same fee of $4,500 each year. The contract could also be renewed for two more three-year cycles if West Orange is pleased with Craig’s services.
