The Bridge City Police Department is investigating a series of car burglaries that occurred Thanksgiving Day. The police in Bridge City received a call of a car burglary at 5:41 Thanksgiving morning in the 600 block of Continental Drive. When police responded to the initial call a check of other vehicles in the vicinity showed as many as ten other burglaries of vehicles. Bridge City Police Chief Paul Davis said that only two or three of the vehicle owners have reported anything missing at this time. Davis added that all of the vehicles had been left unlocked. The chief recommends never leaving vehicles unlocked outside, and especially during the holiday shopping season do not leave valuables in your vehicles. The reported car burglaries were all in the same general neighborhood off of West Roundbunch Road on Colonial Estates Drive, Continental Drive, and Pioneer Drive.
