A 27-year-old man was injured Wednesday morning after the car he was driving crashed into the back of an SUV in front of Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School.
Orange police reported Colton Eugene Curtice of Mauriceville was taken by Acadian Ambulance to Baptist Hospital in Beaumont with non-incapacitating injuries.
Officer N.R. Medina reported a Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 41-year-old Misty Bornholt Winder of Orange was traveling north in the inside lane of Highway 87 North. The Tahoe was preparing to turn left into the school when it was hit in the rear by a Ford Fiesta driven by Curtice.
Police reported Winder and her 15-year-old passenger were not injured. Curtice was given a citation for failure to control speed.
