A convenience store clerk was cut above his right eye after being hit in the head with a pistol during an armed robbery Tuesday night. Orange police report the Star Stop at 1402 16th Street, next to Walgreen’s, was robbed by three men about 11 p.m. Two of the men had handguns.
Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the clerk said he wanted to get private medical attention for the injury. The robbers stole cash and ran away.
The robbers were described as black men. Two of the men had their faces covered with black ski masks and the other had a dark-colored T-shirt over his head. They were wearing dark clothing.
Tuesday’s hold-up was the second at the store in three weeks third in seven months. The same store was robbed by two men on Sunday, January 3. Another robbery at the store was on June 21.
