A “Micro Zoo” opens in Pinehurst
More than 100 small animals encompassing 56 species from six continents are now on display in Pinehurst.
The Kingdom Zoo: Wildlife Center, 1605 Strickland in Pinehurst, will open its doors again to the public Saturday April 30 from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m.
Admission is only a $5 minimum donation with a max of $20 per family.
Kingdom Zoo’s Lisa Moore said the focus on the small, rare and mysterious.
“We have built a collection that includes many unique animals and put our focus on getting an up close look at some of God’s most unique Creations,” said Lisa Moore.
“One of our favorites for example is the short-tailed opossum from South America. They always put a smile on the kid’s faces.”
There will be photo opportunities with animals, guided tours and a Q&A session with Kingdom Zoo: Wildlife Center officials. More details will be posted on the “Kingdom Zoo” Facebook page.
